The Mundaring Arts Centre invites you to join us for a
month-long celebration of the diverse and fascinating
world of textiles through two exceptional exhibitions:
stitched and bound 2008 and A Dyeing Art
4 July – 3 August
stitched and bound 2008, presented by the West Australian Quilters’ Association is the seventh of these biennial exhibitions in which West Australian artists are invited to submit quilts which draw on traditional techniques and interpret materials, methods and themes in exciting and progressive ways. This year’s exhibiting artists are Bernadette Aitken, Ruth de Vos, Michele Eastwood, Cynthia Harvey Baker, Margery Goodall, Cherry Johnston, Stephanie Knudsen, Trish Little, Nichole Lubcke, Wendy Lugg, Peggy Lyon, Marianne Penberthy, Gail Putz, Lisa Repsevicius, Margaret Ruane, Michele Spencer and Emerald Springs.

To complement the stitched and bound exhibition and the Shire of Mundaring’s Truffle Festival the Mundaring Arts Centre’s Community Room is also presenting A Dyeing Art. This exhibition features fungi dyed textiles, educational information and experimental samples by West Australian artists Peggy Buckingham, Julie Clampett, Heather Davis, LeeAnne Davis, Donna Franklin, Lindy Frayne, Liz Odd, Anne Williams and Katrina Syme.
For the duration of the exhibitions, artists and members of the WA Quilters’ Association will be conducting a series of talks, dyeing demonstrations and workshops. See current exhibitions for more information.

Application
The Mundaring Arts Centre is situated in the hills of Perth and includes a gift shop featuring a range of giftware by local artists. Entry is free and we are open daily. Art workshops are offered throughout the school holidays and during school term, visit programs on the menu bar to see the current workshop program.
The Mundaring Arts Centre is located in the heart of Mundaring, 7190 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring on the corner of Nichol Street.
Gallery hours are weekdays 10am - 5pm
Weekends and Public Holidays 10am - 4pm

If you have recently visited one of our exhibitions you may have noticed the lighting is getting more ambient each month. The lights for our old lighting track are no longer being produced, which means replacing the entire track system.

Touring Exhibition Mine Own Executioner
Mine Own Executioner has been touring Western Australia since December 2006, the exhibition’s itinerary includes Esperance, Mandurah, Busselton, Albany, Geraldton, Katanning and Kalgoorlie.
